Kickstarter is successful!
As of this Monday, Envelope Peasant & the Scientific Orchestra’s recording project was successfully funded. We would very much like to thank everyone for their generous support. We are very thankful for the interest you have shown in the project. We could not have done this without you, and we hope you enjoy the result. It promises to be a lovely snapshot of what we love doing.
Thank you again, and we look forward to sharing our musical creation with you. We are in the process of recording right now at Origami Lounge. That is the studio of Chico’s ever-talented Scott Barwick. Origami Lounge is also the venue for the CD Release Show itself. That will be May 19th of this year! We hope to see many of you there.
Be well, and thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!
Sincerely,
Sean, Andy, Spencer & Texas

“Next Year Will Be Beautiful”
…after seven years, the Envelope Peasant album is FINALLY finished. The two-disc set, “Next Year Will Be Beautiful” (Lather Records) will be released on October 23rd. A few weeks ago I was in Portland, going over the material that was to become the new album I sat there and listened to nearly a decade of my life – love, loss, expectation, rebirth, the vastness and beauty of life – sung back to me in a voice that was no longer just my own. These songs, and the life they encapsulate, have been taken apart in detail and then reassembled. I am emotionally exhausted and remarkably quiet. I hope you find the musical account of this journey to your liking…
